Inspired by the memories of my beloved Grandparents, Cleveland and Annie McDougald, HopperNCleve Designs emerged as a humble hobby. Initially focused on crafting scarves on a loom, the journey took an unexpected turn when a gathering of spiritually inclined women expressed their passions. In response, I dedicated myself to creating personalized scarves for each member, unveiling the joy and therapeutic benefits hidden in this newfound skill.

The realization that this creative outlet brought me profound happiness prompted me to expand my repertoire. Soon, I ventured into crafting candles, other scented home items, and other crafts a tribute to the beautiful legacy left by my Grandparents.

The name HopperNCleve carries a deep sentimental value, originating from the affectionate nickname bestowed upon me by my Grandfather, CLEVEland—Grasshopper. As a homage to my late Grandmother, Annie, who passed away in September 2020, I channeled her love for flowers, vibrant colors, and delightful scents into the art of candle-making. The quilted mason jar, a vessel for these aromatic creations, not only symbolizes its practical use but also serves as a poignant reminder of Nana's years spent canning food for our family.

The frequent creation of scarves became a source of joy, evoking cherished memories of time spent with my Grandparents. With a mission rooted in honoring God and expressing gratitude for the values instilled by my Grandparents, my creations reflect the essence of the people who shaped the person I am today.
